MRCOG Part 3: Booking Window opens for May 2023 Examination, Eligibility, and Application process

The MRCOG Part 3 exam is the final step in getting the proud membership of the RCOG. It is an OSCE examination that assesses the clinical knowledge of the candidate.

As per the new updates, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) has opened the priority application window for the MRCOG Part 3 May 2023 examination on Thursday, March 2, 2023. The booking window will close on March 6, 2023. Furthermore the second window will be opening on 9 March 2023 and closes on 13 March 2023. 


To take the MRCOG Part 3 exam, you must pass your MRCOG Part 2 exam. Along with that, your assessment of training (AoT) also needs to be completed. Candidates must have their training assessed before applying for the MRCOG Part 3 exam.

Things to Remember during the booking process

Read the guidelines carefully.

Usually, every year, there will be some changes in the booking pattern. So you need to carefully read and understand the entire booking guidelines on the college website before starting your booking process.

Remember the username, password, and login.

First, keep yourself logged in to your registered email address. You need to take note of your RCOG username and password. In case you forgot your password, don’t worry you have an option to reset you your password

Know your time zones.

Exam bookings open at 9:00 a.m. UK time. So you need to know your country’s time zone and act accordingly.

Select the seats wisely.

Choose the first seat that is available. Don’t wait to get your favourite seat. Just select and move to the payment option. Otherwise, there are chances that you lose the chance.

Double check the payment details.

Ensure the billing address name is proper. Remember, you need to give the address of the cardholder you are using. Double check and ensure the details to avoid further problems.

Avoid multiple openings of the booking link.

Avoid opening the booking link in more than one browser. You can either click on the unique booking link that was sent to your registered email address or copy and paste it into a web browser.

Ensure a stable internet connection.

 Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Otherwise, there are chances that the site may crash due to heavy traffic.
