Exam Pattern
MRCOG Part 1 is a written examination that evaluates the fundamental knowledge and applied sciences relevant to O&G clinical practice. The exam mainly analyses the 15 core knowledge areas belonging to the four main domains.
When considering the exam pattern of the Part 1 MRCOG July exam, The exam consists of two Computer-based examination papers (CBT), each with 100 single-best-answer questions (SBAs). There is no minimum score requirement for any of the papers. The candidate’s final grade is the only factor that counts.
Eligibility
To take the MRCOG Part 1 July examination, you must be eligible.
First-time candidates should complete their eligibility application and get it approved. Those who have already taken the Part 1 exam are eligible to attend the examination.
Application procedure

You need to create an RCOG online account to attend the examination.
- Filling out the Eligibility Form:
After RCOG opens its application window on its website, you will find the online eligibility form, and you can apply for the same.
- Expression of Interest (EOI)
In order to be eligible to book a place on the upcoming MRCOG Part 1 exam, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to receive a booking token.
- Register for tests available at by Pearson VUE locations
Candidates booked into a country location will be contacted to schedule a slot in one of Pearson VUE’s test centres.
