EFOG EBCOG: Things to Keep in Mind During the Examination

The EFOG-EBCOG examination is a comprehensive evaluation designed to measure candidates’ knowledge and skills in obstetrics and gynecology, thereby opening doors to opportunities in Europe.

EFOG EBCOG Exam Pattern

The examination comprises two parts: EFOG Part 1, a Knowledge-Based Assessment (KBA), and EFOG Part 2, a Clinical Skills Assessment (OSCE). Upon successful completion of both parts, candidates receive the European Fellow of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EFOG) – EBCOG certificate.

Process to Complete in the Exam Venue

On the EFOG EBCOG exam day, candidates must arrive one hour before the start for registration. Candidates need to bring their laptops and identification documents. Don’t forget power cables, appropriate sockets, and adaptors if needed. Remember, tablets are not allowed in the examination.

Once the aspirants arrive at the venue, candidates will be registered for the examination at the registration desk. Candidates need to provide their identity card/passport with name and photograph. After registration, candidates receive a unique login ID and are directed to their seats in the examination hall and are instructed to log in immediately.

Things to Keep in Mind While Appearing for the Exam

During the examination, candidates must adhere to strict guidelines.

Time warnings will be given twice, 30 minutes and 15 minutes before the end of the examination. Taking photographs is strictly forbidden in the exam hall at any time. Continuous monitoring will occur during the examination to prevent cheating.

Candidates are forbidden from communicating with other candidates until they exit the examination hall. Failure to comply may result in disqualification, with a two-year ban on re-sitting the examination. If a candidate wishes to exit temporarily for personal reasons, they will be accompanied by an invigilator.

Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Prior to entering, candidates must switch off their phones and hand them over to the examination staff. The phones will be securely placed in envelopes labeled with names and can only be retrieved upon leaving the examination hall.

No textbooks, papers, documents, calculators, or electronic devices are allowed inside the examination hall. Pencils and paper sheets for use during the examination will be provided if needed.

When the exam time duration ends, candidates must stop working, submit their papers online, and await results sent via email 15 days after the examination date.
